Located on the Clinic’s second floor, the Non-Invasive Diagnostic and Cardiology Department provides a number of outpatient diagnostic services which may be ordered by your physician to evaluate your heart and cardiovascular system as well as other systems of the human body.
Most cardiology tests are interpreted by a MCH cardiologist and results are generally available for your physician within two business days.
Diagnostic cardiac studies performed in our Clinic include
- Stress Testing by exercise treadmill or pharmacologic methods
- Nuclear Cardiology including Cardiac PET imaging
- Echocardiogram
- Carotid Artery Doppler
- Holter and Event monitors
- Lower Extremity Venous Doppler
- Resting EKGs
Other diagnostic tests available in the department include:
- Spirometry (pulmonary function)
- Audiometry
- Vision testing
Our Nuclear Cardiology/Cardiac PET and Echocardiography services are accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Committee (IAC), respectively. Accreditation means that we have a long-term commitment to high standards of quality patient care and monitoring. Each technologist is licensed or certified in his respective area(s) (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Texas Department of State Health Services, or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, as applicable).
